I am mother of two daughters and their births changed me forever.
Our first daughter Olivia Grace was born in a birth centre in St. Sofia in Warsaw and I was supported by my midwife and my husband. It was a natural birth, but its second phase was long and very painful.
With the second pregnancy I have decided for a different approach which would help me to experience a beautiful birth. I have started with the book Hypnobirthing, followed by books from Michel Odent, Ina May Gaskin, Ingeborg Stadelmann and others. I have also started with hypnobirthing relaxations and visualisations.
Our second daughter, Vivienne Rose was born at home and it was a wonderful and empowering experience. I couldn't believe that I haven't experienced any pain like during the first labour. That only by relaxing a visualising my body worked completely naturally. I was waiting for the "I am going to die'" moment but instead of that I was holding our baby in my arms already.
After such a transforming experience I have decided to become a KG Hypnobirthing teacher myself to help other women to go back to their inner power, to understand their body and to get rid of fear of giving a birth.
I believe that woman is designed to give a birth. Without suffering and without a pain. Unfortunately births have been massively moved to hospitals and a woman treated as a patient. But there is no need for all of that.
My experience tells me that many women lack the confidence that they can deliver their baby. Quite often they are scared by the terrible stories that they have heard, complications that might come and pain they are expecting.
And I would like to change this view and encourage women to experience birth as a beautiful and transforming moment.
